Press Release: Cause for Conversation Day

Kewanee, Illinois— April 21, 2025 — Henry County Senior Center in coordination with the Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging are proud to announce, “Cause for Conversation” Day on May 6, a special event encouraging local and elected officials and media to spend time with older adults at Henry County Senior Center located at 200 E. South St., Kewanee, Illinois.

This day of connection highlights the vital role congregate nutrition and older adults programs play in the lives of older Americans — programs made possible by the Older Americans Act (OAA). These services face growing demand and funding challenges, the event serves as an opportunity to witness firsthand the impact of community-based support for aging adults and to advocate for the critical resources they rely on every day.
