Transportation
Transportation services are available to older persons to and from community facilities and resources under Title III of The Older Americans Act. Transportation is provided for the purpose of acquiring/receiving needed services, to participate in activities or attend events in order to reduce isolation and promote successful independent living.
In addition transportation services may be available to grandchildren being raised by grandarents, family caregivers, and adult children with developmental disabilities when they accompany persons age 60 and over on a van or bus funded under the Older American's Act.
Transportation services are provided to older adults for a suggested donation. Contact the provider to see what their suggested donation is.
When reservations are made for transportation it is important to identify who will be riding that particular day so as to assure ample seating is available on the vehicle. Please call the provider ahead of time to make a reservation.
