and other interested people are invited to formal hearings to comment on the
agency's plans for the funding. Please note that the proposed area plan
includes a waiver request to Illinois Department on Aging to exceed 15% (up to

also contains three direct service waivers under Title IIIE I&A for $3,000
and under Title IIIB I&A for $13,000 and one under Title IIIB Education
for $8,000.

The Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging is a non-profit
corporation created for the purpose of improving the quality of life for older
Americans. The specific objectives of the agency are threefold: to enable
older adults to live in their own homes as long as possible with appropriate
supportive services; to remove individual and social barriers to economic and
personal independence for older persons including the provision of
opportunities for employment and volunteer activities; and to act as an
advocate to older persons in developing community resources for the aging
throughout the ten county area while providing a comprehensive service
network. Counties included in the agency's service delivery area are Bureau,
Henderson, Henry, Knox, LaSalle, McDonough, Mercer, Putnam, Rock Island and
Warren. E.O.E.
