Gallery of Ageless Achievers, 2005

47 recipients of the 2005 Gallery of Ageless Achievers Award from ten counties were honored on May 20, 2005 at the Holiday Inn in Moline, Illinois. The evening included a buffet dinner and dancing to the music of the Grotto Dixie Band. Jerry Schroeder provided musical entertainment.

Select a county to see the outstanding senior volunteers previously inducted  into the Gallery of Ageless Achievers from that county.

The volunteers being inducted into the Gallery of Ageless Achievers demonstrate the many ways older people contribute to the welfare of their local communities. The commitment and vitality these people bring to everything they do is a cause for celebration. Awards were presented by Robert Allen, and Frances Leimkuehler of the WIAAA Advisory Council and Edward Mitchell of the WIAAA Board of Directors. WIAAA Advisory Council, Board and staff always look forward to meeting and congratulating all of the volunteers who promote a positive image of aging and make such a difference in their communities. Everyone is a winner when older persons are encouraged to remain active and vital parts of their communities.
